Absolutely brilliant service, from start to finish. Rachel showed such kindness after the passing of my mum, she took a weight off my shoulders by dealing and taking care of organising the administrative side of things including flowers, and a wonderful dove release. The Order of Service booklets were beautiful and really captured my mums love of flowers. Tim showed such empathy and gentleness when my mum was taken to the Chapel of Rest, and Helen the Funeral Director gave me so much comfort on the day, guiding me, and making sure I had the opportunity to decide on how the day of the funeral went. The support given to me was overwhelming and I shall never forget the fantastic send off we gave to my mum, we truly did her proud. Thank you all.

Everything, from the arrangement to the Funeral was done compassionately. Katie was very supportive and reassuring, answering all our questions with speed and support. There was nothing from start to end that I would have changed regarding the service.

I would totally recommend this funeral directors from my first phone call to the funeral day, A H rogers and son particularly Helen made our journey without fault ! It was complete person centred care , allowing my self and my late sons partner to go in and dress and wash his beautiful curly hair ! They treated my son with so much care and respect . It was also all the little details , adding sunflowers to his coffin , being a very supportive strength through out the days leading up to my son’s final journey ! I went through a process on the day of my son’s funeral feeling I couldn’t do it , however Helen comforted. Myself and family and was there to guide me through my son’s last journey . Even after the funeral the tender loving care of my son’s ashes !

We arranged my late husband's funeral plan when he was terminally ill, & Sarah Kester visited our home to talk us through our options. From the outset & throughout the process, Sarah has been friendly, empathetic & very practical, which was what we needed. We both felt confident that he was in good hands, & I was glad Sarah got to meet him before he passed. On the day he passed away at home a few weeks later, I called the number Sarah gave me, & the undertakers came at a time of my choosing. They handled him with great care & sensitivity, & when I visited him at the funeral home he was dressed in the clothes he wanted. Sarah sat & talked with me for a while after I saw him, which meant a lot to me.
When it came to the finer details of the funeral arrangements, Sarah went the extra mile to find a particular song that my husband wanted, she helped me to get the photo tribute exactly right, & found us a wonderful celebrant who had a lot in common with my husband. The funeral itself was beautifully done & very personal, allowing my husband's character & personality to shine through. I will always be so grateful for that.
It's clear to me that everyone at A H Rogers genuinely cares about providing a personal & compassionate service to all in their care, & without hesitation I highly recommend them.

I lost My Farther Dennis suddenly in early March 2026 and although I didn't to originally plan to use their services, from the very first Phone call with Katie I felt completely confident and happy that i would be dealing with caring attentive and professional people in person i would not just be a customer number.
Katie was Amazing always available either by phone, email or in person, no sales pitch, no pressure to make decisons, she made the whole process easy and stress free for us and provided us with fantastic celebrant. Helen on the day was great she made sure my mother and everyone was ok and produced and wonderful service as commented by everyone who attended.

Im so grateful to everyone at a&h this review cant really portray it enough but to anyone who reads this and needs a funeral directors please you wont regret entrusting them with your loved one

Never having had to arrange a funeral before, when the sad time recently came for us to arrange the funeral of our dear, late father we were fortunate to call Sarah at A H Rogers. From the first second of talking she took the time and care with us to understand what we needed and how she could help us.

We needed to an arrange a funeral in a short time to be held on a Bank Holiday due to people being able to join us. In the ten days we had, Sarah never ever said 'no' and gently and compassionately lead us step by step through everything we needed to do. Sarah helped us to navigate the realities of planning a funeral whilst taking the time to make sure we were as comfortable as possible and able to make decisions in an informed way. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt like the only people that Sarah needed to look after.

We were made welcome to visit Dad at anytime, and again, the setting for this was calm and peaceful, respectful of him and us.

Helen our Funeral Director and her team, Neil, Behn, Renan and Tracey were with us on the day. Helen called us before the funeral to introduce herself and talk to us about our wishes on the day and to find out a little more about Dad. On the day, she walked with us from the Funeral home to the church, which was a peaceful and welcome moment before the service. She equally knew just how to talk to us to put us as much at ease as she could at such a difficult time. The crew were so respectful and kind throughout we simply could not have asked for more from them.

After the funeral and subsequent cremation the empathetic and thoughtful approach continued when we collected Dad's ashes from the Funeral home.

In summary, we just could not have asked for more. Such kindness at this time is so gratefully appreciated and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sarah, Helen and the crew to anyone in their time of need. Thank you to you all.

I can’t thank Sarah and the team at A H Rogers enough the support they have provided our family. We entrusted them with my Mum’s funeral 5 years ago,and their exceptional service led us to choose them again for my Dad’s recent passing.
On both occasions, the team was incredibly compassionate,professional and attentive. Every detail was beautifully presented and my family felt truly cared for throughout the entire process. They handled everything with such dignity that I know my parents would have been incredibly proud of the services they received. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

My late wife and I both took out unattended cremation funeral plans through Rogers, and when the time came, much too soon, to activate one of them the staff at Rogers dealt with it admirably. Their quiet efficiency coupled with just the right degree of empathy and sympathy made a difficult time bearable.
