The window of A.H.Rogers & Sons in Eastleigh was decorated as a magical wonderland to promote a Mad Hatters Tea Party fundraising event in aid of baby loss charity Aching Arms.
Hanging tea cups, bunting, rabbits and playing card characters, crafted by Funeral Arranger Lisa Wicks-eales at home in her own time, all featured to create the whimsical display.
Lisa said: “The event was organised by local lady Claire, who we met a year ago when she sadly lost her baby Evelyn at full term.
“She often pops in to say hello and asked if she could put a poster in our window advertising the tea party and we decided to support by giving her the whole window space.”
Lisa, along with Claire and her mother-in-law, imaginatively dressed the window and it did an amazing job with spreading the word of the event.
The tea party was a massive success – many of those who attended had seen the branch’s window display, and it was standing room only!
Lisa added: “I’ve never seen so many cakes in one place! There was a tombola with some amazing prizes which helped to raise £1,195 for Aching Arms.
“I’m so glad that A.H. Rogers could support this event and help make it successful.”
